In 2009, Hugh Jackman and his wife Deb traveled to Kochere, Ethiopia as global ambassadors for World Vision Australia. There, Hugh met a coffee farmer named Dukale, who was growing coffee using a simple technology that had zero carbon emissions. Hugh worked with Dukale on the farm, planted coffee trees named after his children (Eva and Oscar), and spent time with Dukale’s family and community. Moved by Dukale’s spirit, leadership, and laughter, Hugh realized that there are coffee farming communities like Dukale’s around the world, whose story needs to be told and whose coffee needs to be tasted. He promised Dukale that he would help, and Laughing Man Coffee was born.

We offer two types of gift cards: one for our online store and one for our cafes. If you can't redeem your gift card online, you may have received a cafe gift card.

For orders placed in person at our cafes, you can find a copy of your cafe receipt by heading to https://squareup.com/receipts and entering your card and purchase information.

In our experience, when there are no tracking updates, it means USPS has yet to scan your shipment but it's still on its way (this can happen during busy shipping times like we have right now). We've seen orders show no tracking updates up until the date of delivery, so don't worry if you still don't seei one a few days after ordering.
Our standard shipping estimate is approximately 1-6 business days for shipping , so if you haven't received a tracking update 5 business days after it has shipped, please let us know so we can help.

Coffee is shipped via USPS.
Most coffees will be passed into the hands of the shipper on the following business day if ordered before 1:30 PM EST.
USPS have a stated estimated shipping time of 1-6 business days.
International orders shipping times can vary up to 12 business days.

We source and roast beans that have great versatility across many devices, so the right method often comes down to personal preference. To help with whichever method you choose, we have a variety of resources for your brewing edification.

We recommend using coffee within 20 days after it is roasted (printed on every one of our bags). In our experience, the distinct and complex flavors that characterize our coffees will tend to have faded after that point.
We recommend storing coffee in a cool, dry place, away from heat and light, in its original packaging, or an airtight container.
The levels of moisture present in the refrigerator and freezer can greatly accelerate flavor loss. We don't recommend storing beans in the refrigerator and can only recommend storage in the freezer under specific circumstances (namely long term, uninterrupted periods).
